Russian stocks may change moderately on mixed background

MOSCOW, Mar 12 (PRIME) -- Russian stocks may moderately change at the opening on Friday amid a mixed foreign background, analysts said.

“We expect the MOEX Russia Index to open with a moderate change within 0.1–0.3%, in the range of 3,500–3,520 points. The nearest support levels will be 3,490 and 3,480 points. The main resistance will be 3,530 and 3,550 points,” Vitaly Manzhos, senior risk manager at investment company Algo Capital, said.

Before the start of trading in Russia, the U.S. stock index futures are trading mixed within 0.3%, Brent oil futures edged down 0.3%, China’s Shanghai Composite rose 0.2%, and Japan’s Nikkei225 added 1.6%, Manzhos said.

Finam analyst Igor Dodonov said the Russian stock market will likely moderately increase at the opening on positive moods on global stock exchanges.
